Community Health Needs Assessments

My work identifies the health status of the community and identifies critical areas for health improvement. Critical to this work is mapping assets, gathering data and engaging a cross section of the community through focus groups and key stakeholder interviews.

Approach

Appreciative Inquiry

  • Over the course of my career I have become a champion of the Appreciative Inquiry [AI] approach to organizational change. The goal of AI is to engage entire systems in the discovery process, using a 360° approach to highlighting best practices.
  • AI is a dynamic process for engaging all employees of an organization that is positive, constructive and inclusive. AI builds on strengths and assets, and identifies shared aspirations to create an empowering vision of the future and an action plan to support collective goals.
